To be a good player, you need talent. To be a great player you need an attitude like that of Virat Kohli”, – Sunil Gavaskar, former Indian ticketing legend. Here we start Virat Kohli biography including all the details about him.

There are some people whose success is continuously admired by everyone. And then there are others, who are so successful and persistent that if they fail even once, everyone will be surprised. Virat Kohli was in the second race.

Watching Sachin Tendulkar hang up his shoes in 2013 was painful. But the rapid ascension of King Kohli eased the pain immediately. The two can be polar opposites in their attitudes (one is the epitome of softness, the other,) or their style of play, perhaps. But one thing (and the most important thing) that is similar between them is consistency. Rarely has the ticketing world seen a player as stable as Virat Kohli.

And he is a game winner for India! Whether it's the 133* round against Sri Lanka known as Hobart Storm or the 182 in the classic chase against Pakistan in the 2012 Asian Cup, Kohli never fails to mesmerize us.

Life looks good when Virat kicks the ball through the covers. God only knows how he manages to punch the void every time. This is one, just a feast for the eyes.

Kohli Biography
Virat's cricketing journey began in the summer of 1998. Virat and his brother Vikas were joined by their father Prem. Kohli drove to a cricket camp in West Delhi.

It was a typical hot summer day and Rajkumar Sharma, coach of West Delhi Cricket Academy, had no idea that over 250 children could brave the extreme weather.

And among those 250 children was a young Virat, who didn't take long to turn Rajkumar's eyes. But not what you think!

"I remember I noticed the kind of chubby and rather naughty young man, less than ten years old, who enthusiastically enrolled" - read an excerpt from book 'Virat- Making a Champion' in which coach Rajkumar describes his unforgettable memory of Virat.

Virat was the youngest of many people there. This meant that he had to work very hard to stay in the position of the others. And he did. The brave young player has rolled out and worked really hard under the watchful eye of coach Sharma. Perhaps these "additional" efforts are the foundation of Virat Kohli today.

Virat played a tournament under Rajkumar held at the Delhi Development Authority Sports Complex in Hari Nagar. The tournament consists of six matches. Three matches of the tournament, a quarter-final, a semi-final and a final.
