Is Your Dream Car Safe Enough?

Every earning middle class family have a common dream of buying their own car. People work hard and put their blood and sweat to earn money so that they can afford the car of their dream.

But the question is, are the cars safe?? While choosing cars we give importance to certain features like its brand, it's price, driving style and most importantly looks. Safety always come as last option because in the name of safety we can only consider cars having dual air bags and ABS. But are they enough for a car to be considered safe?

In India, a small guthka packet comes with a disclaimer that it is injurious to health. But when it comes to a vital thing like cars and other vehicles, no such disclaimer or warning is ever issued.  No car company really talks about whether its cars are safe to drive or not as per Global NCAP Crash Test Parameter.

Fact is most of the Indian cars we buy or plan to buy have failed the Global NCAP Crash Test Parameter. Sounds shocking right? But yes, that's the truth.. I won't mention the names here but the brands we trust the most have mostly failed the test (You can always check your facts in Google). And no one, neither the Government nor the car companies, disclose these facts. In the competition for providing great features in low budget, quality and safety are always compromised.

What I feel is the government should make it a law for these car companies to make it mandatory to mention about the Global NCAP Crash Test Parameter report. And companies failing to provide the necessary should not be permitted to sell unless they rectify the defects.

When we buy these cars which fail the test, we get more prone to accidents and then we spend rest of our savings paying hospital bills, medicines and what not.

The dream of buying car finally converts into a nightmare. However there are always something good in some bad. In India there are actually some cars which have passed the Global NCAP test with flying colors. As I said earlier I won't mention any brand here. But everything is available over the internet these days. A little research before buying a new car always help.

So guys if you are planning to buy a new car any time soon, please get your homework done. Do a little bit of research as to which cars are safe as per Global NCAP Crash Test Parameter and which are not.

Hope you find this article helpful.

Thank you.
