I was just thinking about running away from this wedding in a Bollywood style. I looked at my girlfriends, they were just too excited for everything. I remember we made lots of fun thinking about, 'How I need to fake cry, couse I can't really cry on this kind of nonsense point.' Becouse I used to think that, after wedding I'll be just moving from home and will always be just one call away from everything. So, what's the point of crying like, I am never gonna see them again…
It made me smile a little. I guess my friends got what I was thinking, they smiled back and waved at me. By looking at them in this crowd of unknown people, I felt like a “king on a war, who just saw his newly arrived army, came to beat the enemy.”
While I was in lost in my thoughts, Pandit ji shouted, “Now call the groom for Manglashtka/phere” after hearing that, I got a mixture of feelings running through my body. Fear, excitement, thrill… everything alltogether.
As per the maharashtrian wedding, Pandit ji put Anterpat (a white cloth)in front of me. In between my groom and me.
So, I really gonna see my husband only after wedding… now that thing really made me realise, how idiotic I am😂… and after merriage if I don't like my husband, it will come with No- returns policy … man I f**ked up for life… I started to panic in my mind, I was thinking, “should I just run from stage! Or maybe I just need to faint. (I can surely fake that). Please someone save me, if it's big mistake. Please stop this wedding now if anyone wants to stop it… now it's the correct time…”
From the sounds coming from other side, feels like groom have came on the stage. I felt like ducking under Anterpat and taking glance at groom. But again not seeing groom's face before marriage was my demand only. What even I know about him ? Just his name. I am really a big idiot.
Again I got back from my thoughts as Pandit ji shouted “Savdhaan” (attention). Now I was truly on verge of tears. After that ‘savdhan’ everything got silent. But I suddenly got shocked as everyone, as someone shouted, “Please Stop this wedding.”
Every eye turned towards that sound. I also unconsciously looked towards the moron who had just shouted…
