About Lentil And Dal Fry

Hello guys I am back with a new blog. Intresting subject about food

Today I am going to tell about lentil ( it's also called dal ). It's very common in indian cuisine. If you go any hotel to eat buffet get there one of dal item. Normally at home we make any veg curry , mom are add some dal for curry thickness. Every where in veg food any combo, or any buffet, or any marriage party, at home commonly we get one of the dal item. Dal has so many different item like shorba, curry, halwa. 

I can't write here lentil names beacause of candlemonk rules

And also has different type of colour lentils like orange, red, black, white, green, yellow, brown, etc…. I am knowing about these colour of lentil , if any have missed you guys comment me name of the dal.

Ok Let's start our today recipe dal fry. It's make with yellow moong dal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 gm of Yellow dal
  • 50 gm of Onion chopped
  • 30 gm of tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp of green chilly chopped
  • 1 tbsp of garlic chopped
  • ⅓ tsp of Cummin seed
  • 1 tbsp coriander chop
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • Sunflower oil

METHOD

  • First boil the lentil
  • Then take a pan add oil. Wait for oil heating.
  • Now add c seed wait for crackle. Then add garlic chop saute it. Cook till get golden brown.
  • Then add c onion and c green chilly saute it. Cook for 1 min in medium flame.
  • Now add c tomato saute it, cook for another 1 min in same flame.
  • After that add turmeric powder and salt. Saute it.
  • Now add boiled lentil and saute it for 2 mins.
  • Then add some water. As per your choice. If you want thick curry so put little water, if you want thin curry then add some little bit more water.
  • Now cook for 2 to 3 mins. In medium flame.
  • Add coriander leaves. Cook another 1 min.
  • Put ghee mix well. Off the flame.
  • Now your dal fry is ready to serve.
  • Transfer in a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaf and 3 to 4 drop of ghee
  • Serve with chappati and basmati rice.

I will tell you in another blog difference between  fry and tadka.
