Darjeeling is one of the most visited hill stations across India as well as the World. Tourists come here to bask the natural aesthetic beauty of ‘’The Queen of Hills''. It is located in the north of the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located at an elevation of about 2000 meters. The weather here is mainly cold through out the year and during winter its temperature goes down to minus 10 degree Celsius. The best time to enjoy the natural beauty of Darjeeling is between April and October. Darjeeling is world famous for its tea industry mainly Black Tea.

1. Tea Industry: The Tea Industry was started by the British people as they love to have tea in the early morning alongside they kept exporting to the rest of the world for income. They knew that tea is cash crop and it can bring a lot more business across the world for the British Government in India. ‘’Darjeeling Tea'' got the 1st GI tag in India as it is world famous for its fine aroma. 
2. The Kanchenjunga: Rangeet Ropeway brings all the tourists to the Tiger Hill for showing the sunrise scene rising up from behind the world famous mountain peak Kanchenjunga. All the tourists bask the aesthetic beauty of the sunrise along with the glowing golden Kanchenjunga. Really it's so amazing that no one wants to leave Tiger Hill.
3. The Darjeeling Toy Train: This toy train service started back in 1900s by the British Government. This toy train was declared as the World Heritage Site in 2nd December,1999 by UNESCO. It is stretched from Darjeeling station to New Jalpaiguri station with 14 stations. Ghum Railway Station is the highest railway station in India. 

Many tourists from foreign countries as well as from India visit Darjeeling along with the nearby city of Gangtok which is 4 hr. journey from Darjeeling by road. This small city also has a very beautiful market for shopping and spend some leisure time walking along the street. Trekking is also a famous activity done by the Hill Climbers. The majority of the population belongs to the Nepali Community. Bengali and Nepali language are the official language of Darjeeling. Momo is the widespread famous street-food in this city. Some of the other small towns nearby to Darjeeling are Kalingpong, Kurseong, Bagdogra etc. The nearby airport is Bagdogra Airport which has a regular flight to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.
