Amaran, the eagerly awaited film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, is scheduled to have a big release during the Diwali season. Viewers can't wait to see the film on a large screen. In a promotional interview, the movie's lead actor Sivakarthikeyan talked candidly about how his father encouraged him to accept this role.

When questioned about playing Major Mukund Varadarajan, Sivakarthikeyan said that he accepted the part because of its association with his father. You did indeed read correctly! The actor revealed that he had a strong emotional connection to the part because he grew up seeing his father in uniform while he was a police officer. He clarified that he discovered numerous parallels between his father and Major Mukund Varadarajan while working on the movie.

"I took up this project because I grew up seeing my dad in uniform," the actor stated. He was an officer. Even though the uniform color may differ, the duties are essentially the same.
"When I first heard the story, I noticed many similarities between Mukund Sir and my father," he continued. I can't give away too many specifics at this time, but yes, this was a major factor in my decision to work on this project. Sivakarthikeyan disclosed that his father had died while serving in the military. "I was reminded of my mother and sister when I first saw Indhu, Major Mukund Varadarajan's wife, with her daughter. Like my father, he passed away while serving his country—not in combat, but from pressure at work. The hardest thing to deal with is losing a loved one, but we can all find hope in Indhu Rebecca Varghese's ability to persevere in the face of tragedy. I am eager to watch this movie with my sister and mother.

Sivakarthikeyan added that he experienced what it is like to be a true hero the instant he put on the military uniform. He also disclosed that during the filming of some of the sequences, the people around him complimented his performance, stating that even though they couldn't understand Tamil, the scenes still gave them chills. The true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Ashok Chakra recipient who was killed in 2014 during the Qazipathri Operation in Shopian, is told in the film Amaran, which was directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The movie is scheduled to open on October 31, 2024
