Each and every one after being born will be having a mother tongue that will be taught by our parents. Language is a vital part of human communication although all species have different ways of communicating. Human's are the only ones who have mastered cognitive language communication. Mother tongue is a language which a person has grown up speaking early from childhood. If a child has bilingual parents then he or she may have 2 or more mother tongues.

My mother tongue is “KANNADA”. I love my mother tongue. It is the second oldest of the four major Dravidian Languages. Kannada is basically a South Indian language. Widely used in KARNATAKA. Kannada literature began with the Kaviraja marga and followed by Pampa Bharata. The oldest available literature for the evidence of Kannada language was ‘Halmidi’. Each and everyone of us will be having a great, prosperous history about our own mother tongues and are proud of our languages.

I even respect other languages along with loving and respecting my mother tongue. As language is an expression of the spirit and cultural group, whenever such groups come together their languages will inevitably combine or one of them will take over. Having said this, respect for other languages is just as important as respect of people of different nationalities and ethnic groups. Language allows us to share our ideas, thoughts and feelings with others it has the power to build societies but also tear them time.

Hence respecting each and every language is important. We have came across lots of struggles and quarrels just because of language issues. Let's love our language, let's give preference to our mother tongue, let's treat our mother tongue as supreme but alongside let's learn to respect other languages too and put a full stop to the language related mobs and riots.

Let as all be a responsible citizens. Let's start developing a feeling of unity we belong to the same country at the end we are all Indians, so why quarrel over the superiority and inferiority of languages. Every language is beautiful in its own way.

Thus, let us take an oath to respect all the languages in the world in turn it acts a respecting the feelings of someone. Let's leave with unity and peace. Unity is strength, let's all be responsible towards respecting each and every languages
