- Marie Antoinette said " let them eat cake" to spite the poor: this is one of the crazy historical fact we all might have learned. Disappointingly, historians have stated that the Queen had never made such comment.
- Wait until 24 hours before submitting a missing person's report: if u are a kdrama fan, u can relate to this myth easily. In most of the kdrama missing cases, we see the actors anxiously waiting for 24hrs to past and we believe them blindly along with the thrill of the drama. But in real, there is no time period to report a missing person's case, unless u are sure of the fact. Besides, acting within the first 48 hours is crucial to locating the missing person.
- You need to drink at least eight glass of water every day: one of the most common myths that we believe blindly. Scientifically proven, each humans' need of water intake daily varies and depend on their overall health.
- Bats are blind: in contrast to the common belief and the famous idiom 'as blind as a bat' these creatures can actually see. In addition, they can see the Times better than humans.
- Drinking alcohol raises your body temperature: we all believe this with or without realising it. Even though you may feel warm when drinking alcohol, it's the alcohol and your brain functioning together and playing tricks to your busy. For real, alcohol lowers your core body temperature. So, get this crazy belief out of your head.
- Shaving your hair makes it grow back thicker: shaving your hair doesn't make it grow in abundance or in thick, instead it may feel a bit more coarse as it grows again.
- The sun is yellow: this is a common misconception most people believe blindly. In fact, the sun is obviously all colors mixed together. It's because of those colored long waves, the sun is seeming yellow or orange. The same goes for the reason why sky appears blue, just is because of the other short wavelength colors.
And the last, but not the least,
- It's safe to eat food that's been on the floor for five seconds or less: don't you never…..ever try this. A study related to the matter says that even when the food is on the floor within five seconds, a substantial amount of bacteria can catch up to it within less seconds.
