I am starting this blog with most famous quote dedicated to Punjabis. “We are Punjabis and we don't keep calm”. This is very true that Punjabi families are famous for loud and powerful voice. Even our neighbors are also aware of most of our secrets. 

•  Punjabis- The Food Folks: Almost everyone in a punjabi family is foodie. Right now the time has changed and people are more concerned towards their health and body shape, but still punjabis somehow manage to cheat their healthy diet plan. It all starts from morning tea and for breakfast parantha with butter, curd and lassi, again tea for digesting breakfast then lunch, again snack time at 4-5 Pm where we can have pakodas with tea or other snacking. Again ready for dinner. It all goes, goes and goes on.  Last but not least a big glass of milk.
• Traditional Dresses: Punjabis never miss wearing “Kurta Pajama” and “Patiala Shahi Pagg”. Girls also dresses in “Salwar Suit” and prefer "Punjabi Jutti". For them this traditional looks means- “Punjabia di Shaan Wakhri”. 

• Punjabis have long and amazing weddings: Whenever there is wedding in family or friend circle it is like icing on the cake. It is actually the time for shopping and buying different dresses for different occasions. The big fat wedding continues for a week. Starting from engagement to Haldi Ceremony, Mehndi, DJ Night, Shagun and finally wedding day. The center of attraction is vide variety of food served. The wedding is still incomplete until the DG vala plays- “Bolo Tara ra, Gur Nalo Ishq Mitha.”
•  Fun Lovers: We Punajabis are fun lovers. They actually have good sense of humour. If you have bad mood talk to your punjabi friend. They will crack every possible joke and make you laugh. They usually don't mind if you crack jokes on them until that joke is not related to their honor and esteem.
•  Love for Jeep, Bullet and Tractors: The love for keeping bullet, jeep and tractors in garage is immense. Bullet is somehow used for Gedi-Shedi for punjabis and tractors are for farming purposes.

…….Born in Punjabi family teaches you so many things. Respect your culture, elders, when meeting someone greeting them with Sat Shri Akal and a broad smile is all that shows how punjabis are connected to their roots. Punjabis always say “Sade Nal Rahoge Te Aish Karoge” and they literally mean that.
