Nature, βA beautiful creation of God". Is it left beautiful now? The environment in which we are living is no longer cleaner and safest for our health. And who is responsible for that- We All. Living in this environment makes us responsible for protecting our mother nature because we have taken so many things from it. Right from food and fruits to water, sunlight, wood, shadow of tree, fresh air and so many essentials we are extracting from our environment.
Being a responsible citizen of our society, small efforts of ours can help us in changing this whole scenario. Pollution of air, water and so many other factors can be reduced up to some extent by simply making changes in our daily habits and lifestyles. Let's look at some new contributions that we can do towards protection of our nature. Earlier if you are doing few for these then well and good if not then let's start it together.
Plant a Tree: Planting a tree we all know is very beneficial for our environment and for all of us. As plants are good source of oxygen and fresh air. These trees will someday provide us with good shadow in summer and some also provide us with medicinal benefits. Let's plant a tree once or twice in a month and make our earth greener and cleaner.
Reduce Usage of Vehicles: Now-a-days usage of vehicles is increased too much. Even for local work we prefer to take our bikes or cars with us. But I would say if we have to go somewhere nearby which is in between 1Kms, for example- Gym, Grocery Shopping, Temple Visit, Friends house or for any other work, do not use your vehicle, go by foot. This will help you in moving your bod and a good way of exercising.
Avoid Burning Leaves and Other Trashes: Waste of kitchen like vegetable and fruits peels, rotten vegetables and fruits, dry leaves from garden can be used as a fertilizer for garden. One can take these things and dig a hole and put in it. It will act as a compost and will reduce waste in kitchen and home. Rather than burning these wastes we can make them more productive for our plants in the garden.
Make Useful Things From Waste: There are so many videos on Internet related to Craft and DIY. With the available materials at home like- empty plastic bottles, pieces of clothes, ice-cream sticks and many more things we can recreate so many new and beautiful creations. For Example: Empty bottles can be used for plantation. You just need to cut into two pieces and fill lower part with soil and put seed into it. You can paint those bottles and hang on the wall. This activity will make your balcony more greener and beautiful and more and more people will be encouraged to do the same.
