Long long ago, there was a princess named Iris. Her father was the ruler of ‘The Dark Realm’ King Helos. Iris was a cheerful girl and always happy. She had a beaming smile no matter what. But she was lonely as she didn't have any friends growing up. When she grew up, the princess fell in love with a Prince. She couldn't meet him very often and missed him a lot.

One day when she was daydreaming, staring into the sky, watching the clouds from her ivory tower window and suddenly she saw her brave handsome prince riding on a horse towards her palace in the deary and dark realm. The guards at the gates were one-eyed giants with ginormous clubs in their hands. They frowned at him and opened the gate. The unafraid prince without any hesitation rode straight up to Hellos and spoke about his daughter's hand in marriage with the prince himself. King Hellos initially stunned by his bravery to come straight to his throne for the marriage approval, asked him who he was and who is his father. The prince said, ‘I am Brevis, son of the one and only Fairy Godfather. I love your daughter more than anything in the world. I would do anything for her.' The King replied, ‘Young man, I met you thirty seconds ago, that escalated quickly even for ‘The King of Realm' like myself. And no, I shall not get my daughter married to you.' Saying this the king asked his guards to throw the prince out. But then, Princess Iris who overheard all this conversation came running down all the stairs pleading to her father to approve for their marriage.

The princess tried to convince her father by saying that their love is mutual, and the prince had come a long way to the underworld to ask for her hand in marriage. But the king abruptly replied, ‘No’! The king arrogantly stated that he is the king, and he won't take back his words. He ordered the guards to throw the prince out and locked Princess Iris in her room. Iris wept and she peeped her head out the window sadly. And she saw her prince whom she loved whole heartedly going away. She was sad and droopy. Tears rolled down her eyes as she thought that was the end of her love.

A few hours later, Iris heard a voice. Iris looked everywhere in her room, but she didn't find anyone. She then peeped out of the window to the top of the castle and was shocked to see who was standing there!………… (to be continued).

Who is standing over there? What made Iris shocked?

Stay tuned for ‘The Banished Princess Part: 2’ …….
