Dating has always been an controversial topic among Indian parents or in an Indian society where marriages were always fixed or finalized over one single meeting or in other words the traditional system of arrange marriage. Most of the times it's mainly because of the high expectations that parents always has about their son's or daughter's future significant other.Sometimes it's because of overprotectiveness. Some of the parents even sees it as a betrayal when their daughter or son ends up in a relationship and sees it as a selfish act for falling in love.I totally understand that parents don't want kids to start dating at a young age since it's not really safe or they are not mature enough to handle all the responsibilities that comes in a relationship. But not allowing grown people or adults to date when they are clearly mature enough to take their own decisions is something that I definitely won't favor. They have every rights to find their own future partner and Falling in love rather than ending up in a forced marriage with someone with whom they are not compatible. In a country where even holding Hands in public Is seen as a crime how can it be developed in case of allowing the concept of dating among everyone. A couple can't hug or hold each other's hand without having strangers staring at them and judging their character. But all Indian parents are definitely not the same, there are some great parents , who gives importance to their kid's happiness rather than satisfying their ego self. But for some happiness of the society matters the most. They feel like as if it's a shameful thing in front of society when their kids starts their dating life. This concept of seeing falling in love as a breakage of trust is a topic which is completely foolish.I am sorry but falling in love is equivalent to breaking your parent's heart?,That makes absolutely no sense , when it's everyone's basic right to love someone and it's not a freedom that anyone has to ask from their parents or some responsibility of someone to not end up failing in love.At the end of this blog I just want to say that , falling in love is not a crime and it should never be treated as one, everyone should be given the freedom to spend rest of their life with someone they chose or they love rather than forcing it with someone they are not even interested in.Lets hope for a day when parents stops thinking about what society will think and starts thinking about what will make their kids lead a happy life.
