Hello friends! How are you all? I am good and expect the same from you. I am back with my new blog. This time besides knowledge sharing, I came up with my personal story. Yes, it's about how I celebrated my first Christmas at School with my friends and classmates.

Before going into the story, I would like to add a point. To the parents over there, do allow your child/children to participate in extra-curricular activities. Besides quiz competitions, science fare, sports, allowing them to celebrate and participate in programs conducted during festivals at school will make them gain knowledge, joyful and happy.

So, are you ready to know how I celebrated my First Christmas?! Let's get started.

Those were my school days. I completed my schooling in Nalanda Talent School, Visakhapatnam. I embrace best memories from my schooling. Our school is best for it's curriculum, cultural s and values. They make students to engage in extra-curricular activities besides academics. They celebrated every festival in school. As I am from a Hindu family, I was not aware of Christmas. But, when I joined in this school, I gained knowledge about every festival and National days. In this learning process, Christmas is one of them.

Christmas is not just a festival confined to a day but it's a season. The moment we enter into December, we can see decorations and Christmas trees all around and we were all Christmas Carol's. For most of the children, it's a season of cakes as we see a lot of celebrations ( Christmas parties) and distribution of cakes in our neighborhood. Age doesn't matter as we all search for Santa- Claus as we get our gifts or our wishes might be granted.

In our school days, we get three-day holidays for Christmas. Our school management used to celebrate before holidays. First, they make us gather in school ground. The music will be ready. Students will perform different events like dance, singing Christmas songs and script play etc., Then comes our favorite part, Santa Claus :) coming to wish us Merry Christmas and distributing chocolates. Our Piano teacher is our Santa Claus. He used to come to us jumping and hooping, throw chocolates at us. Whoever will get more chocolates, they were most luckiest (in school days, it's fun). The whole day, we roam in school, playing and finally, before leaving, our teachers distribute snacks to each and every student.

So, thinking what's your personal experience in it? Let me clear. I never participated before in Christmas celebrations in school (no particular reason ). But, in my 9th standard, I met my friend for the first time. She is a Christian. She is new joining. As the time passed, we became close friends and now we are besties.

In 10th standard, My friend asked me to participate in Christmas celebrations. I said ok. We were in coral's team. I was never been into singing before but with my friend's encouragement, I took a step forward. Since one week before Christmas holidays, we started our practice. I was feeling very shy to sing. My friend and our music teacher motivated and supported me to overcome my fear. With regular practice, finally I made it. For the celebrations, one was solo performance and another was group performance, total 6 songs.

The celebration started this way….

First inviting the honorable Principal, Dean, Vice Principal onto the stage. Then welcome speech. Now one of the participant with the help of teachers, tell us all about Christmas festival. Now the events will start.

At that time, I was very nervous. I just closed my eyes and repeating one thing: You Can Do It. You all won't believe, I was amazed by my performance. While singing, I was smiling and dancing. Each and every student, faculty, management enjoyed my performance. I was the happiest person. The celebration went very well that day. It ended with distributing chocolates, snacks and play time.

That day was one of my memorable day.

So this is all about my first Christmas celebrations🎉 at school. Thank you!!
