Hello friends!!! First of all thank you so much for your love. Welcome back to my page.
As in my previous blog, I wrote about how I spent my first day at Mahabalipuram, now I would like to continue with part-2 i.e., second day.
We planned to visit shore temple for sunrise and then go for darshan. But because of our journey, the previous day and fully packed day, we couldn't get-up. So, around 10 o clock we woke up, got fresh and had our breakfast at Motel Mamalla (few meters away from our room).
After our breakfast, we visited "Pancha Rathas", an example of monolithic single-rock-cut architecture (which includes- Dharmaraja Ratha, Bheema Ratha, Arjuna Ratha, Nakul-Sahadev Ratha and Draupadi Ratha). The place was just wow!. We need to take entry ticket.
After spending almost an hour, we visited The Shore Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was beautifully constructed. It is well maintained. There is a huge and lavish green garden around the temple. Beach behind the temple adds more beauty to this place. There was a renovation going so they didn't allow the tourists to enter the mandir. But, from backside of the temple you can see Lord Shiva-ling. This place is best for selfieholics :) and photo-posers.
As it started to rain, we decided to go to restaurant for lunch. For lunch, we visited restaurant "My Goodness" at Fisher's-man Colony. Let me give you a brief of this restaurant. It is started newly, plastic tables and chairs arranged neatly on terrace, not so good ambience but beautiful beach view. One must try Fish Pulusu (Kuzhambu in Tamil). Don't try chicken pakodi (not well made). Best place to have beer. (I won't drink ;););)).
After our lunch, climate got settled so we visited beach once again and started back to Chennai around 4 o clock.
We reached home about 7:00pm, as it rained while travelling we need to stop at nearby shelter. The overall trip was awesome. One must visit this place and I promise you won't regret to visit again.
Now let me tell you all some key-points:
So this is all about my sudden trip to Mahabalipuram. Do like, comment and follow. Thank you!!!
