You probably haven't been going to work since the lockdown was put into place in the month of march. And while you probably also miss your routine. You miss your colleagues and and daily lunch hours. You probably also miss getting to chill, gossip and having office parties with your colleagues. While we're all drained out from working at home, here are a couple of things you can probably relate to if you're missing your work BFF a lot during this time of lockdown.

If you had to start from the top, it would most likely be trying to coordinate travelling to work, arriving at work, where you're planning on meeting up, catching the metro etc. You probably miss your boss's phone call in the morning when you were late for the meeting or you miss when the office boy served you with your favorite cup of coffee, early in the morning.

Even if you're a non - smoker, you probably understand and appreciate the value of a good chai break. Sure, you have deadlines pouring in and your boss is probably pretty mad at you. Yet, during that short 5 minutes breather, you and your colleague can find the time to catch up on the office gossip, and discuss what was actually happening during meetings.

"Gossips always brings people closer together". Nothing beats the joy of spilling some tea and giggling over your colleagues fancy new hairstyle. Or maybe there's some new eye candy in your office building and you and your office besties were quick to try to catch their eye. And while you can probably gossip over call, it just does not feel the same. Your gossip session doesn't have much of a chance of thriving or even existing when you're working from home.

That feeling you felt when you opened your office colleague's lunch box and dug into their lunch was something that was truly unmatched. Especially on days when your mother cooked you karela ki sabzi. Let's face it, lunch was often the highlight of your office day and you wouldn't miss it for the world. Whether you brought your own home cooked food or chose to order in, there's no denying that lunch was a special time of the day. What's more, when it was a colleague's birthday, they would probably take you out and give you a treat.

Nothing like impromptu plans after work, huh? If there's one thing that is sorely missed, it's that feeling of finishing off work and grabbing a couple of drinks at your favorite restaurant. Sure, back in the day you would often feel super lazy and not bother sticking through to the after work plans. However, ever since the COVID lockdown, you probably miss them more than anything at this point. There's nobody better to drown out your sorrow than your work colleagues. Who could understand your personal life fails more than your office bestie, right?

Let's be real. Everybody loves office parties! There's nothing like cracking open a cold one with your favorite colleagues and giggling over your boss's choice of outfit. Even if you're not the kind who drinks, you can probably partake in a lot of other things like food, cold drinks, and other super fun activities!

How can we forget the super fabulous offsites? If there's one thing we probably miss the most during this time, it's when our office took us on offsites and we'd all have a great time chilling together and finding out more about ourselves. You knew your office besties would have a couple of pranks up their sleeves too. Whether it was drinking a few beers or simply roasting some marshmallows at a campfire, just being around your colleagues was a fun experience.
It's okay to miss the good old days of office and want to go back and celebrate with the once you love. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many of us are unable to meet face to face. However, many cities are slowly easing the lockdown and we're hoping things will get back to normal with adequate social distancing measures, of course. It''ll feel amazing to return to work and get on with life as we knew it. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
