The Yamaha FZ-X is based on the Yamaha FZ-S Fi platform so it shares most of its components with the Streetfighter. It will be ideal for those who are looking for a retro-based bike packed with modern features and equipment. Below I will be mentioning Features, Pricing, Engine capacity, Brakes, and suspension.
The price of this FZ-X starts between FZ-X Standard ₹ 1,16,800 and FZ-X Bluetooth ₹ 1,19,800 with and without connected bike features. I feel this bike will be affordable than the current FZ-S Fi which comes with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Yamaha FZ-X comes with practical features like
Yamaha offers LED indicators, an engine guard, seat cover, tank grips, and chromed-out rearview mirrors as accessories.
Engine:- It comes with a 149cc air-cooled fuel-injected Engine which produces 12.4 ps power and 13.3 Nm torque with a 5-speed transmission similar to the one in FZ-S Fi. Interestingly this engine makes 0.6 ps more power than the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
Fuel Tank Capacity:- 10L
Colour options:- Matte Black, Metallic Blue, and Matte Copper.
Suspension and Brakes:- It gets a gaitered front fork suspension and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. The alloy wheels come with a block pattern tyre (100 section front and 140 section rear) for a more rugged look and better grip. This bike gets Disc brakes both in front and rear. The bike is weighed around 139kg ( which is 2 kg heavier than the FZ-S V3). Seat height will be around 810 mm which is quite normal I think.
It also gets an ample amount of ground clearance with 165mm which is also again 5 mm more than the FZ-S Fi and similar to the FZ-S V3.
It is a practical bike. I'm looking forward to riding this bike and will be sharing my experience in my next Blog.
