Who is Jesus Christ?
Who is he actually?
Why people are talking about him?
Why his death is so important?
He was a man. Like you, like me. But more than that, He claimed to be the only Son of God. In fact, he said he was already present even before his birth. The Bible says in the beginning there was word (Jesus). The Word was with God. Before time starts he existed. According to scriptures, he is God forever and ever. The word has settled among us. One must accept it when coming to Jesus Christ.
He did not came here for some revolution.
He is not another great man.
He is God, the one who came to earth in flush.
Jesus taught that we must forgive. He taught us that God is not looking into the outward act of men but into their internal ideas and goals. “Thou shalt not kill”, it was one among the ten commandments God given to Moses. We may think, ok I’m not killing anyone. But if there is hatred in our heart, we have already sinned without cause. So we are all sinners in one way or in another way. Bible says Jesus did not sin even though he was a human being. But Jesus was tempted at every step, just like us. He have gone through all the tests that have occurred to us. Still he beat them and beat them all.
All the evil in the world comes from the human heart. This is because of the presence of sin. Sin is a trait that we all share because we were all born with it. This has to be changed. That is why Jesus said: Human beings must be born again, they must return to God and start over. And He is the only one who can do it for us. But how?
Do you ever wonder why the death of a man have this much importance?
On the cross He bowed his head and said “It is finished”.
What does that mean?
What’s actually finished?
It means Jesus fulfilled God’s plan for our salvation. God can forgive all our sins now. Jesus pays the punishment for each person's sin in order to restore the broken relationship between God and humankind, which has been harmed by sin.
Jesus had the ability to think of us while he was on the cross. He cared about us enough to stay on the cross for us. Has there ever been such a love? He could have been rescued by the angels. But he stayed on the cross for us, and for our sins.
Bible says that “the wages of sin is death”.
Our sin is punished by the eternal separation from God in Hell. Although the consequence for sin may appear harsh, God is a just God who must punish sin. Through the death of Christ, this hell is removed and Bible says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. And in the morning when they went to the grave, they heard the best news the world has ever known.
“He is not here! He is risen!”
Yes! He is alive.
Believe in him and accept him. Win it by faith. Then He will come into our life. Then we will know who he is. You can find Him as Lord, Savior, Master, and Son of God. He will forgive your sins and will change your life. But we have to accept it.
If we really want to go to heaven, we have to accept it.
If we want to be forgiven of our sins, we must accept it.
This is what gospel is and we need to believe it. Now it's out turn. We can decide whether we dedicate ourselves to Jesus. If we ask Him to forgive our sins and if we believe that Jesus is the only way for salvation, we will be saved by His grace.
Live for God! God bless you.
