Tragically, a devastating fire engulfed a six-storeyed building in Mangaf block, Kuwait's Ahmadi Governorate on Wednesday, claiming the lives of at least 49 individuals, with 45 of them being of Indian nationality.
KERALA :
The peoples among 45 Indians, 24 are Malayalis. The Department of Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) has verified that 24 individuals from Kerala lost their lives in this heartbreaking incident.
In a statement on Friday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized the importance of taking all necessary precautions to prevent a recurrence of the Kuwait fire tragedy. He also expressed hope that the Gulf nation would take appropriate action against those responsible for the incident.
TAMIL NADU :
Seven individuals from Tamil Nadu tragically lost their lives in the fire incident in Kuwait. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has expressed his condolences and announced a relief payment of ₹5 lakh for each family of the deceased.
“I have instructed the Commissionerate of Non Resident Tamils’ Welfare to coordinate with the Indian Embassy and Tamil associations in Kuwait to bring the bodies back to India,”said by TN Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
ANDHRA PRADESH :
The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has pledged to provide financial aid of ₹5 lakh to the families of each of the three migrants from Andhra Pradesh.
