Hello There!!

Presenting you the subsequent part of 7 Breathtaking Natural Phenomena Around The Globe | Explained.

1.Blue Volcano | Indonesia

Indonesia's Kawa Ijen volcano on the island of Java is known as blue volcano since the lava flowing out of it is blue in colour. The electric blue colour is caused by the combustion of sulphur-rich gases. Once the hot and high pressured gas burns, sulphur condenses to liquid form which flows downward creating a splendid view of blue lava from fire.

2.Light Pillars | USA, Canada

Light Pillars

The phenomenon in which a vertical beam of light appears to extend above and/or below a light source. The tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere which reflects light are responsible for creating  this visual treat.

3. Lenticular Clouds | Japan

Lenticular clouds got the name from their lens shape. When moist air flows over a large structure like a mountain, a series of oscillating waves are formed and when the temperature at the crust of these waves fall below the local dew point, air condenses to form clouds in the shape of a flying saucer.

4.Great Blue Hole | Belize

It is located off the coast of Belize, on the eastern coast of central America. This Giant underwater sinkhole is formed by the collapse of a cavern about 15000 years ago. The limestone cave was originally formed during the last glacial period and the cave was later flooded with water when the sea level began to rise. Eventually, the roof of the cavern was brought down while the inner portion remained as it is but submerged in water.

5.Volcanic Lighting | Japan

This phenomenon occurs when the individual ash particles collide within a volcano which generates static electricity. The scary lightning occurs usually at the beginning of a volcanic eruption.

6.Ice Caves | Iceland

In Iceland, many ice caves are formed by a combination of subglacial flows and surface meltwater drainage. These hydrothermal rivers cause the ice melting and formation of caves within glaciers.

7. Danxia Landform | China

This astonishing mountain structure is formed when red-coloured sandstones and minerals pressed together for approximately 24 million years. The structure has the appearance of a flowing valley since the same experienced rain and wind for thousands of years.
