Dark horse means the horse which takeover every other horse. Now you guys must be thinking what's this book is all about. Okay let me give you some hints: what is the India's most prestigious exam? Yes you guys are absolutely right: UPSC, the most prestigious and tough exam of India. Who doesn't want to be honoured like an IAS, Right? This dream takes the students to the Delhi in mukharjee nagar or Old Rajinder nagar. But only few got their dream and achieve the success and many got dejected but not failures. They all learnt something one or another way.

This book will take you to the journey of many UPSC aspirants. How this journey takes everything from you and give you everything that you want. Niloptal mrinal has described every emotion so well that you can feel it's your journey, especially when you also are preparing for government exams. I think the main reason author has written such deep emotions is because he himself was a UPSC aspirant. The book is just not a story but a biography of each and every UPSC aspirants, who have succeeded and who still are struggling for their dream. This book motivates you to dare to dream even if you not get the success you will learn a lot of things.

The story begins with a simple boy, named Santosh, moving to Delhi to achieve his dreams, to become a IAS. He was new to this city and have no idea how to get started. There he met with Raisahab who already lived in mukherjee nagar and was preparing for this prestigious exam from last 4 years. At first Santosh got very impressed by Raisahab only to know there is nothing impressive about him. Later he met with many other people in the search of his room like Manohar and Guru. Soon they became good friends. And now the journey begins, they all started preparation for the exams. But destiny had something else for santosh, after two years of hard work he wasn't even able to crack prelims meanwhile Raisahab lost all of his attempt, Guru was able to clear mains but not interview. They all thought of giving one more chance to themselves but where is santosh. None of them can find him. Some thought he commited suicide and some thought that he returned to his home.

Was santosh really left??? Was Guru able to crack the IAS in his last attempt?? What happened to Raisahab and what was result of Manohar??? Let's not give you guys the spoilers!!! Read this Sahitya Academy Award Winning book and find out Who is the Dark horse.
