Amish with his two previous blockbuster series, made a special place in our heart and soul. A writer becomes popular when you know you have pre-order his book. And I pre-ordered this book because of the Amish. His earlier books were very different and basically was on the life of two Gods , who are worshipped in India and have millions of devotee. But this book is based on the historical events of medieval period of india. A batttle known to few , but the warrior known to none.

The plot starts from the heartwrenching scene from Somnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Where the Indian warriors were fighting against the barbaric turk invaders, led by mahmuz gazni, to resist their invading and saving the soul of India, Somnath temple. Mallaldev, was the one who was leading the indian side. But they couldn't last long and martyred for India. and thus a history was about to be made , with the vengenance in heart and soul and to return India into its  glory and to free it from the clutches of the barbaric turks.

A battle was forewritten and thus the History.

the after events contain how Suheldev, a simple soldier from the warrior clan against all odds gather all the Indians around the country and prepares a warrior who don't just look about themselves, but will give their blood and take the blood for their beloved motherland.

The book depicts how divisible India is always a prey to the invaders. India was divided under the caste, clan, region , greed, where everyone was only thinking about themself. They were ready accept the slavery of turkic barbarians instead of uniting among themselves. But Suheldev united each and every Indians from every caste, religion, creed, so called race, profession and give them their true identity of oneness , the idea of United India. now India was ready to fight against the Salar Maqsood, the turkic barbarian who had dare to destory the Somnath temple, who dare to kill his brother, who dare to rob, kill, rape the Indians. now it was the time for Salar Maqsood  to pay for every sins he and his men did.

Finally the Battle of Bahraich took place. But the best part was about the entry of one of the greatest warrior of our INDIA , about whom the Indian historians dare to tell us. Yes, the entry of greatest king Rajendra Chola. It gave goosebump with every word following him. Finally the battle  was won, so did our integrity and sovereignty.

This book tells us that one should not forget the war and warriors who fought it. They fought battles, the went to wage war against the wrongdoerss so that future ones lives in peace.
