Even leopards and tigers in Manjalaru forest get scared if you hear the name Kurati.
It was proud of its beautiful body and black spots, which spread over the branches of trees for a length of twenty feet.
Pythons come in many colors like dark brown and brown, but it is very rare to see them with such distinctive black spots.
Pythons usually catch and eat small animals like birds and rabbits. Sometimes it even attacks slightly larger animals like deer.
But the curd is a bit different. Even a buffalo calf, a leopard can be crushed in its claws. So it was given the name Kurati.
Kurati rested his head on a branch and stared at the river bank.
Mirandu Mirandu caught the eye of a young deer coming by the river.
He quickly pulled his stretched body towards him.
Probably the fawn runs too narrow to cross the river. If you come through like that, you have to come through the curtsey.
The deer went down into the river. His mouth watered at the snort.
The rest of the squirrel remained motionless with only its head hanging from its body around the branch. The only sight was on the deer that had landed in the river.
The deer swam in the river. It was from this same tree that Kuratti caught a leopard one day. The cheetah's bones snapped as he tightened his rubbery body like a rope.
The deer is gone. Grunting remained motionless. The deer was walking along the path near the tree.
As told, it came and stopped under the tree. A garland fell on the neck of the little deer.
"Mother" cried the deer. Destabilized by an unexpected attack. It stood motionless.
Even Kurati was very surprised. It was a sin to squint at its face. By then the deer had wrapped its long, rubbery body around the deer.
Maan Thembi cried. Tears welled up in its eyes.
When Kurati makes a sudden attack like this, any animal struggles to escape from it and does not cry and demonstrate like this.
“Yes…. "Why are you crying?" he snorted.
The deer stopped crying and said in a firm voice.
“Now death is certain. At least I have the honor of saving my mother's life before she died. If you mind you can help me”.
"How can I help?" said.
“I will go to Mottachi Amman rock and take novel fruits and give them to my mother and come back here. Then kill and eat me as you wish,” said the deer.
"What's the guarantee that you'll come back to me again?"
"If you don't believe in what I say, then come with me.. When you add the novel fruits to my mother, kill me and eat them"
“I can't catch you if I leave you? What is your speed, what is my speed?” snorted.
"If you don't trust me, I will obey what you say."
“I will stay around your body. You have to carry me," Kuratti said. It agreed with that. The deer went carrying the deer.
The bald goddess went to the rock. The novel has gathered fruits.
The python walked excitedly around his body.
He was happy that he had a chance to give his life for his mother.
The deer came close to its abode. Showed her location and mother lying down. The grunt slowly descended from its body.
“If you think you can get away with giving novel fruits…. Then your mother, who is prone to illness, will become food for me,” Kurati said.
“I will never forget your help. "I will not break my word," said the deer and ran away.
The squirrel slowly crawled and disappeared through the trees.
There was a big shock waiting for it. Fifteen and twenty deer were there for health check.
Even if two or three deer get together, their antlers can pierce and tear off his head.
In this way, last week, a python was crushed by two big bucks with their horns. That evening snake died there.
Even Kurati, who didn't know what fear was, was a little nervous.
"Did we leave what we got?" Even that was apprehensive.
It's better to be careful about anything. Kurat Periya bent his body and writhed and heard something moving towards the hiding place.
The same fawn came alone.
"My duty is done...I have kept my word....I thank you" the deer came and stood in front of Kurati.
Its body shuddered despite the grunt's rough skin.
"You said about me" said Kurati
“No, I will not betray you for helping me.”
"How can I be your helper who kills and eats you?"
“You are right.. but if you did not help, my mother would not have been saved. What in the world could be more honorable than to lay down one's life for one's parents?”
Kurati lifted her head slowly and wiped the tears from the deer's eyes.
Kurati left it alive saying, "I am proud to bow down to you who sacrificed your life for your mother".
The fawn looked at the dwarf in surprise.
The black spots on its body glittered like diamonds as it crawled on the tree branches.
