Overthinking: The Art Of Creating Non-existent Problems.

          There is  no shortage of situations to Overthink in today's world. Overthinking is the cause of self doubt, childhood experience and traumas.

        You might have thoughts like,  Am  I good enough to do this? Or am i being too good for people?Are you the  one to say sorry even though you aren't the cause of the problem? you would  get over- excited when someone compliment you?   You often help people but you don't receive any help when in need? Are you the one that always adjusts with things in your friends group ?  You would always think about “only if I had done this..”and “what is” . These thoughts are fuelled by anxiety and worry.

 Rumination

     It is a mental loop where we keep dwelling on past events especially negative and distressing ones. People who ruminate are often caught in a whirlpool of regret , guilt and 'woulda' ‘coulda’ ‘shoulda’ scenarios.

Overthinking can also be like:       

✓ You keep replying the past scenarios in your head .

✓ You ruminate on worst case scenarios and future outcomes.

✓ You might imagine the worst scenarios that could happen and second guessing decisions that you've made.

✓ You feel mentally exhausted 

✓ You would constantly criticize yourself .

      If you relate to any of the above said questions. Obviously you will be an overthinker ….just like me!

     " We are the people that people have and not the people who have people"

Yeah this is the bitter truth…

You can overcome overthinking by following these :

     Practice meditation 

     Distract yourself 

     Spend time with your pets

     Do things that makes you happy

      Take a walk

      Acknowledge your success, turn back and see how far you've come

     Write down your thoughts 

     I would personally suggest you to have a worry time, instead of  worrying all day, allot 15 to 30 mins to worry about your miseries and your thoughts about future.For example, if you’re worried about meeting a deadline, your action steps could include saying no to another commitment. 

        Each time an uncontrollable worry arises, try visualization.      

        Imagine placing the worry in a balloon and releasing it into the sky. 

But usually overthinkers have good prediction of future cuz, I ve experienced it. I just don't want people to suffer and i want to pull them Outta this whole overthinking thing. I just don't want people to experience the things that I've experienced. If you found you are overthinking then, please take actions to stop it. Don't let it consume you ,it would lead to stress, depression and other mental conditions.
