Hello Readers.

We all have lived the difficult phase and still living it, called “Covid-19”. We have been locked up in the houses for more than one year. No gatherings, no schools, colleges or offices, no meeting families etc.

Few rules laid out to survival were use of masks in public places, use of sanitizer if touch anything and most important, social distancing.

Social distancing means- less people to gather at a particular place and there must be safe distance among them. They shall be at a distance of 5 feet from each other. This all is to make sure the virus does not reach each other. You never know which person among many may be infected and unknowingly spread the infection.

As we have started moving out of houses, and meet people, are we following these rules?

We are following rule of mask because there is a fine levied by the government. Some are using sanitizer and some are not. But we have ridiculed the social distancing rule altogether.

Amid the Coranavirus Pandemic, Social Distancing Is a Privilege for India's Poor

Can you see the large number of people on shops and marts to purchase daily necessities? Have you seen the crowd gathering at markets and food joints? Have you seen people posting pictures of family get together after such a  long time without masks and other rules being taken care of?

Whose life are we risking?

We are welcoming the further waves of this deadly virus by our negligence. People are getting careless with each passing day and feel that nothing is gonna happen to them, but the fact is this infection does not spare anyone. Even people who were highly cautious got infected. Many have lost their life and many families have been brutally affected. Children have lost parents, parents have lost children, families have lost only earning member, some new borns have never seen their mothers. Are these stories not heart wrenching? Doesn't it bring a sense of fright?

Then why is this rule so difficult to follow? Why can't we be strict and not go anywhere with large number of people? Why can't we stay at home and go out only when absolute important. When lock down situation arise, it shuts income opportunities for daily wage workers. Let us behave in a manner that such a situation does not arise.

Plight of daily-wage workers

If we take care of rules and regulations, follow precautionary measures and respect the distance, we can hope that no category of human will sleep hungry.
