Hello friends in my last blog I talked about green skills now, which was just an introduction now will be going into the depth of this topic and we will see various subtopics. So, today's topic is green economy and it's elements. A green economy is an economy which developes and grows at a good pace while taking care of the environment at the same time. In a green economy  secondary sector operates but environment is also concerned , most of the times renewable sources of energy like solar power and wind power are used to run an economy. According to the United Nations Environment Program it promotes the well being of humans and maintains ecological balance. In other words a green economy consumes less amount of carbon, manages resources efficiently and is socially responsible. The promotion of green economy is only possible with the use of green skills. There are five main elements of a green economy:

A.) Renewable energy

B. ) Green construction

C.) Sustainable means of transportation.

D.) Water management

E.) Land conservation

Now, let's see them one by one.

A.) Renewable energy: Renewable energy is a form of energy which can be used again and again. This source of energy can be easily renewed, that means nature doesn't needs much time to produce them again. But, on the other hand we also have non-renewable energy sources such as petroleum which can take millions of years to form again. So, it is better to use renewable energy sources than non-renewable ones , even if non-renewable energy is required in some areas of economy it should be used wisely. There are several resources in nature which have the potential to produce energy but scientists haven't found a way yet to extract and use them. These sources of energy are known as potential sources of energy.

B.) Green construction

You must have seen various luxury or stylish resorts in newspapers and magazines which are made of mud. Yeah, you heard it right they are same as the kuccha house we see in Indian villages but these resorts are just have a different building style and are decorated and have a big size. Many foreign countries are adopting this style.

C.) Sustainable means of transport includes car pooling and cycling.

D.) Water management refers to storing and using water in an efficient way.

E.) Land management includes prevention of soil erosion and afforestation.
