My Class 12Th Results And What I Learnt From It?

Hi !! everyone if you read my previous blog post then you must know that today I was going to share my results and the reactions it got from many people including my friends and family. So, just like they do every year, CBSE  suddenly announced our results sharply at 10 in the morning on July,22. Since most people are asleep at that time the website didn’t hang for the first time in my life and I could easily get my result.

I scored 89 percent which I think is a  decent number and my parents felt proud, we had a small celebration with just me and my brother having some Maggie. But, I found this result very useless because in the state I live in (Madhya Pradesh), we already had college admissions based on term 1 results, which I think was highly unfair as the state board students had their full results but Cbse and Icse students only had their theory marks, no practicals were added. So, it was not a fair thing, I mean students with full results will get an advantage.

So, after facing a lot of difficulties I got into the college that I wanted and I didn’t even bother about the results because they were meaningless now what was their role? now we have CUET for central universities, and skill-based jobs are more in demand where you are hired based on your skills not your marks.

But the lesson I learned from all of this was “You can’t please everyone.” Well, I didn’t even try to do so but let me explain to you how I learned it. Actually, I never went to any coaching since class 10 but scored very well every year, same with this year. So, whatever I got was sheerly my hard work and God’s grace my parents were very happy and it is common in our families to share board results so out of their happiness they told whoever called them up. But, everyone is like “it is somewhat less”, “she could have got 1 percent more” and others didn’t even say anything. I don’t live by their approval but my parents do at least a part of their minds does and as a result, my mother started instructing me that I could have scored more if I too went to expensive coaching but I gave her tons of examples of my classmates who went coaching but ended up scoring less than 80 percent.

I think this was a very important thing which I am grateful that I understood at a young age, Now, I have decided not to share anything important with the people who don’t matter as someone who didn’t see your struggles won’t digest your success.

I hope you liked this post. Please follow for more

Well said! Don't know why people judge students on the basis of their results . Your blogs always inspire me🙂.
