How To Develop A Habit?

Hi friends !! Today I am back with another useful post and this post will solve a problem that most of us face ,which is the inconsistency, inconsistent while learning something or making a habit. All of us  try to create small changes in our lives, oftentimes we try to develop a new habit to make these changes visible in ourselves and our personality, but we fail to do so because we can't maintain consistency while learning something and eventually give up. I have faced this situation many times in my life. So, once I decided to analyze the reason why this happens to me and then decided to change my way of doing things and today I decided to share this thing with you too. Without wasting time anymore , let's see the steps one needs to follow to develop a new habit, Let's begin

  1. Set a time limit

You must fix a time limit to learn what you want for example, a month, two months or three months and you must also decide at what time of day you will be practicing it, for example, let's say you want to develop a reading habit, then you must schedule a time for it like  reading for thirty minutes in the morning or night or both.

2. Set small targets

You must set some small targets to achieve, these targets can be set of daily, weekly or a monthly basis. Let's continue our previous example , you have decided to read for 30 minutes in the morning everyday, but to make to be consistent you set a weekly target of reading an entire book and similarly making a monthly target of reading 4 -5 books in a month , depending on the number of week that particular month has.

3.Reward or punish yourself

Try to reward yourself every time you achieve a target, similarly punish yourself every time you fail to achieve it.  Your brain becomes more efficient and works faster to get the rewards. So, let's say you are able to achieve your target of reading one book in one week ,then you can reward yourself with your favorite candy or chocolate or whatever you like and if it is not the case, you failed to achieve your goal then punish yourself in a way like don't eat what you like or don't watch you favorite show.
