The name “DARING” was derived from the name of the British officer DARING SAHEB who was in charge of the place and BADI means village,hence the name “DARINGBADI”.

HOW TO VISIT DARINGBADI !!

You can take a train from Howrah station and drop down to Behrampur Station from their it takes apporx. 4 hours  to reach Daringbadi (118.8 km) via NH-59.In between the journey from Behrampur to Daringbadi you can visit two side-scenes :-

i)TAPTAPANI HOTSPRING

ii)JIRANGA MONASTERY

I)HILL VIEW PARK

Hill view point is one of the must visit side-scene spot when you visit DARINGBADI. 

II)COFFEE & BLACK PEPPER PLANTATION

Coffee and Black Plantation The soil conservation and Forest department of Daringbadi maintains two Coffee & Black Pepper plantations in Daringbadi which are worth every penny to take a tour around. These locations also serve as ideal picnic spot for the tourists to rejoice.

III)LOVER POINT

13km from DARINGBADI ,there is another delightful spot where stream streams down the slopes through gigantic dark shakes  inside the thick last green woodlands.

IV)LUDU WATERFALL

A waterfall located at hourly distance of about 2.5 hour from the mainly town of DARINGBADI. The waterfall is located 150 stairs down from the plain land. Known for its scenic beauty Ludu Waterfall, is also very dangerous during the rainy seasons.The place becomes very risky.The drive to Ludu Waterfalls may become very exhausting due to bad road conditions but after reaching the place one will surely get swayed away by the exquisite beauty of the place. The fall is flanked by sal trees all around.
 

CAN WE VISIT ANOTHER TIME-SPENDING DESTINATION FROM DARINGBADI ?

Yes,you can.

From  Daringbadi, you can easily visit GOPALPUR which is around 4 hours to 5 hours journey. From Daringbadi ,you have to go to Behrampur from there you can go to Gopalpur.

Gopalpur Beach is one of the most calm beaches in India. The tides are not so roaring like those of Puri ,you can easily have a bath and enjoy the pleasant weather. Two days is likely to be enough for such a small place.
