South Indian Snack Utappam With Northern Twist - Rava Utappam 😻

Hope you all are doing great 😊 

So today it's going to be a cooking blog ☺️.

So, today I'm going to share the recipe of my one of favorite food . Which I love to make at home whenever i want something really tasty πŸ˜‹.

So it's utappam 😻

Yess , the south indian dish which gives me so much pleasure.

So it's not the recipe of traditional recipe of utappam made with rice and pulses soaked .

But it's made with rava. In no time ,easy simple ,tasty .

So let's start making 

Ingredients we need -

  1. Semolina ( rava or sooji ) -2 cups
  2. Curd -1 cup
  3. Chillies 2-3
  4. Onion πŸ§… -1
  5. Tomato πŸ… -1
  6. Ginger - 1 inch
  7. garlic πŸ§„  - 6
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Water - 1 cup
  10. Roasted cumin - 1 spoon
  11. Parsley ( dhaniya ) - 1spoon

So coming to the recipe -

First take semolina in bowl add curd and water to make a thick paste. And cover it for 15 min. To settle the mixture 

Till then roast some green chillies over gas burner . Now  cut and take in grinder add ginger garlic and roasted cumin to make a paste .

Chop onion and tomatoes fine you can other veggies like capsicum or others of your choice.

After 15 min take the batter manage flowy consistency' with water and curd depends on how tart of spicy you wish to make by adding more chillies .

Add the paste and veggies to the bowl and add salt to taste . Some more cumin and pasaley .

Now heat the nonstick pan 🍳 spread some oil and make pancakes 😻 .

Turn them golden brown and flip . Take it out and enjoy the easy utappam.πŸ˜‹

To save time you can make appes too from the batter for that - 

Heat the appe pan and grease with oil . And pour batter to fill . Cover them cook for 2 min. And flip to other side. 

When it turns golden brown take it out . 

Enjoy the appes with tomato sauce , schezwan sauce or any other chatnis you prefer.

This snake is easy to make and takes no less time just ready your semolina batter in the starting and prefer to make it any time.

You can make it in breakfast . It will fill your tummy and mood too.
