Rachel is amazing, but don't you feel Monica is a rollercoaster of emotions?
When her mother says "Do you know what it's like to grow up with someone who is critical of every single thing you do?" And she says " I can imagine" with a smile that showed the pain of not being enough to her parents, not being appreciated for what she is, what she does and what she wants in her life. When she finds home away from home and makes a family with a bunch of people with so much care. I feel sorry for her when she isn't listened to and they take her for granted, when all she wants is the best for them.
I love how her eyes still spark in excitement when she comes up with literally anything to make Someone's day special, remembering all the important days and showering them with love. At the same time, I remember her disappointed face when anything goes wrong. How upset she was when she lost the boxes filled with her childhood memories and how pissed she was at Chandler just because she missed him when he was in Tulsa. It's the little things that matter more than anything to her. She is strong enough to express her affection openly and at the same time breaking down, trying to get over someone she wanted to spend her life with. I love how she turned someone who was so afraid of commitment into someone who would swim oceans for her and make a better version of himself. She is so brave to mend Chandler's relationship with his father, push him do something he actually wanted to and let him move to Tulsa, keeping all her insecurities to herself, while she found the kind of love she deserves after numerous heartbreaks.
I felt terrible when Rachel and phoebe would call her High-maintenance for always overthinking, ranting about something and being so fussy all the time. But I'm also glad she found Chandler who would make her feel loved and appreciated for who she is. When Chandler said "I love my wife more than anything in this world. I'll learn to be a good dad. But my wife...she is a mother, without a baby." Because she might be complicated, fussy, over-thinker, perfectionist, controlling, neat freak, competitive, bossy, overbearing and all the other things in the world. But she is also loyal and caring. Itโs just the little things, like the slightest mess, that can irk her in a big way. She is a character I'll cherish for my life. She'll always be the most precious one among the six to me.
