“WOMAN" What is the first image that comes in your mind when you hear this word? Well, for me I see strength, confidence and beauty in that boldness as the title states.
Personally, I have been brought up in a family with a stereotypical mindset where I have been told to speak softly, sit properly, act gracefully etc. But my mother is a strong and brave woman who taught me to stand for myself and be confident. So my perspective has always been different because of which I never looked down on myself for what I am.
As Bruce Lee said, “Be like water”.
A woman can be anything she wants to be and that's what feminism implies which is always misinterpreted as girls having more power than boys. We as human beings have such an incredible ability to metamorphosis into anything we want.
All the women out there who think that they are incompetent or not confident enough should know that you are not born with confidence, you teach yourself how you want people to react when you walk into a room and become that. Don't be a label be a legacy, do things that no one has.
Teenage girls as they enter the new world will definitely experience such things as people telling them to be safe while walking on the road, covering yourself up, coming home before it gets dark and a lot more. But why do we have be told these things? I don't imply that all men look at girls with bad intentions but still all women feel unsafe.
Married women often consider their husband's name as their own identity which is partly true. But having your own identity is very important, your name is your dignity you belong to yourself never forget that. Remember that respect goes both ways you are not the only one who has to respect it's his responsibility to do that too.
Don't say that I am ugly, fat, worthless..rather say that I am worthy of love, I am blessed, I am beautiful and bold. And the most important thing to say when you look at yourself is “I Love You”.
If you want the world to accept you for what you are, then you need to do it first.
