Hi every my co-bloggers 🤩 I'm here to make information about after consulting doctor. I'm sharing about when your doctor suggested to take blood test. We just go to laboratory and give our blood samples report will be issued after certain time which laboratory technologist informed you.
Had you ever think about it. What happens when your blood sample is drawed from you body.
Now let me explain what procedure do they done in blood sample collection.
There is certain laboratory for required blood test. Now will explain blood collection and process will explain in another blog.
When you visit the sample collection they instructed you to sit in comfortable chair.Keep your hands in table which you are sitting.
Now we have to check twice for which test is given for that specific person.whatever test may given to them. But we have to know how much blood should draw from them.samples are we usually collected in tubes it means specific test, ml (amount of blood), specific laboratory.
Material required:-
💉Syringes.
Cotton.
Alcohol (or) sanitizer.
And collection tube.
Sample transport box.
Collection tubes:-
❤️Red:- Empty tube (clot activator)
Gray:- Sodium fluoride
💙Blue:- sodium citrate
💜Purple:- EDTA
💛Yellow:- Serum sepation tube
💚Green:- Heparin.
After collection of blood samples transfer to the specific tube for specific test. After transfer of blood samples do not to shake in red tube. And should shake in coagulated tube.
After these process sample will be sent to required laboratory to test the specific tests. These test is done by well qualified laboratory technologist they check twice before updating your report.
Urine sample collection:-
Urine sample is collected for routine test, culture and 24 hours urine.
Routine test:- Technician will give you a small container with preservative to collect sample. They instructed you to collect mid stream urine. Avoid first voiding of urine and finall urine.
Culture test:- They give container without preservative same as it is mid stream urine is collected. To identify any bacteria in your kidneys or urinary bladder or urethra UTI (Urinary track infection).
24 hours urine:-
In 24 hours urine they give a can with preservative like thymol of 3 grams they are many preservative but we use thymol. In 24 hours can estimate hormone, electrolyte etc…
