So, In this blog we are going to see about why the Indian Highways have colored Milestones ? ? I think some may aware of this topic. If you dint aware of it please go through this blog. . . Let we start the blog . . .
At the time of travelling we all watched the different colors of milestones in the road sides. We know it indicated how long the kilometer is to reach the milestones destination places but at the same time it has a different different colors at the top of that stones. For the betterment of the peoples and passengers the government has introduced these such type of helpful thing for us.
In India's 56 lakhs kilometer long road network comprises national four different types of milestones color.
These are the types of color. This color codes distinguish between the mile stones on the sides.
1.If the mile stones has yellow stripped on the side of the road which means “It an national highways road”. It has yellow at the top of the stone and remains are white in color.
2. If we see a green stripped mile stones on the road sides which means, "we are on the state highways road". Same as the above, roof is green in color and bottoms are white color.
3. If the stripped mile stone is in the color of blue or black or white one it indicated we are travelling a city or a district road. At the top it has any of these above colours but at the bottom it remains white always.
4. The last one, if you are seeing an orange stripped milestones on the road sides that means you are travelling over the road of rural roads. It also the same orange in top and white in bottom.
Each and Every day, many peoples are travelling over the roads. For the better sack of passengers these are invented by the government but some may not aware of it and some may ignore that. Hope this blog is helpful for you guys and thank you reading the blog from starting till the end.
