In the before 3 parts we have diescussed aboutculture, language, geographical area and religions .
These the part 4 in these I will discussed about the physical features which separate India from other countries .
India is also known the sub continent because there are some physical features which separate India from other countries .
There are six physical features in India -
1.The Himalayan mountains :-
The Himalayas mountains are the young fold mountain .
The Himalayas are situated in the northern east part mostly with 2400 km long, 400 km to 150 km wide from Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh .
The Himalayas have three major ranges
โข Great or inner Himalayas called Himadri.
โข Middle Himalayas or Himachal .
โข Outer Himalayas or shiwaliks .
The Himalayas are of four sections the Punjab Himalayas which are situated between Indus and Satluj. Kumaon Himalayas situated between Satluj and Kali .Nepal Himalayas situated between Kali and Tiata. Assam Himalayas situated between Tista and the Dibang .
These mountains are also origin for many rivers which carries fertile soil with them which helps farmee to grow crops .
Following shows some highest peaks of the Himalayas -
2.The northern plains :-
The northern plains are formed by the mainly three rivers - the Indus, the Ganga and the Brahmaputra with it's tributaries .
These are spread over 7 lakh sq.km with 2400 long and 240 to 320 km broad .
These Rivera helps farmers and others in the crops production .
These areas are very fertile it's forms in the riverine islands .
These are divided into mainly three sections the western plains , the Ganga plains , the northern plains .
