' I Am malala' a story of a 15-year-old brave girl ' Malala yousifzai' who lived in Pakistan. The girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban.
After reading this book I am in a sudden state of shock and even a little petrified to review the book. It is so surprising to read about Malala one who is so fearless, How she knew that a road to success is through education.
"One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change a world" that's what malala believes. It is sorrowful to read about all the people in Pakistan who went through so much helplessness and terror under Talibanization. How Taliban has misinterpreted the Quran and was doing all wrong, from suicide bombing, killing hundreds of innocent humans, to banning girls education and a lot more. It was horrifying itself from reading from the person who has experienced it all through her eyes.
Malala's strong and courageous outlook through life and a spirit to fight against injustice comes from her father 'Ziauddin yousuzai', a simple school principal in swat who believes in girl's education and stood up for their rights in his country. It was a Heartwarming moment when her father in one of his conferences told" In my part of the world most people are known by their sons. I am one of the few lucky fathers known by his daughter. One of the silent heroes in malala's story is her mother. She let her daughter be herself and never forced her to do things that society demanded though she was scared for her daughter. Being a traditional conserved woman who always lived her life in purdah let her daughter not cover her face when the girls around her wore burkha
Malala was rush to one of the swat hospital after she was shot by two Taliban in a school bus. After changing three hospitals and flying by helicopter to Birmingham, treatment and rehabilitation were given to her. She fought through life and death but came out more vigorously. She is continuing to fight for the right to education and dreams of educating all the children, especially in Pakistan.
To Malala: Even when, I haven't met you or known you personally I felt extremely proud reading your Narrative, It is so inspiring and stimulating. Your message that ' Education is a basic right' is reached to hundreds of lives through your story.
