This film is 2024 Indian mollywood (malayalam) survival thriller film which was written and directed by Chidambaram. This film was based on a true incident which happened  in the year 2006. thee film follows a group of friends from a small town called manjummel near kochi, who decide to have a vacation in kodaikanal. The director  transports us to the Centre of the story, the friends trip will make us feel as we are with them. The acting  department is lead by soubin and sreenath Bhasi, honestly there isn't much space for them to perform by soubin have done a good job in that, Bhasi doesn't have much screen time. The reason for its success is that, technically well made simple story which most people can understand. simplicity is not always a bad thing.

The recklessness of the gang made them eneter a part of the guna caves that was restricted due to its dangerousness. the fun trip took an unexpected twist when one of the group members, subash, fell into an infamous hole as nobody fell in that hole had survived. How the gang dealt with that unprecedented situation is what you witness in Manjummel boys.

Manjummel boys is all about the Guna cave in Kodaikanal, tamilnadu. this combined with its reference to the Tamil movie Guna made it both nostalgic and interesting to Tamil audience.  Chidambaram's masterful storyteller also deserves special praise. the writer- director has brought to screen only what is necessary, and nothing more. the film does not waste a single second, and each scene adds something new to the film. chidambaram also talks  not just about the material aspect, but also the psychological impacts, which he has cleverly shown in the film, avoiding the clichés. Additionally, he has also been able to bring about the chemistry of real life friend group into the reels- they are jovial most of the time, messing around with each other, but  when the times comes, they area s thick as a brick. more than anything else  there are no protagonists in the group. All 11 members are equally important.

Manjummel boys has not only become a box office success but also stands out  for this subtle  not to its real life inspiration. The film boasts an ensemble cat, including soubin shahir, sreenath bhasi, among others playing crucial roles.
