Uric acid is a chemical which is found in blood. Some amount of it is formed during various processes which keep on going in the body and some amount is formed by the breakdown of an element known as purine which is present in the food. Most of the uric acid formed in the body gets dissolved in the blood and the remaining is eliminated from the body through kidney. The amount of uric acid can be 3.5 to 7.2 grams per deciliter. If the amount exceeds then it may lead to different health problems.

To know the amount of uric acid in the body, get yourself tested and if the uric acid is increased then make sure to keep these things in mind-
Food containing high amount of purine such as fried and junk food, salted food, red meat, cold drinks ice cream, seafood,spinach, tomato, okra, peas, cauliflower, beans, mushroom, beer and other form of alcohol, fermented food like bread should be avoided. Try to consume fiber containing fruits and vegetables more and drink lots of water.
Risk of other problems-
Most of the uric acid is eliminated out of the body through urine. When the amount of uric acid is increased it does not get filtered completely by the kidneys and the amount of uric acid increases in the blood. It starts to get assimilated between the bones and can cause the problem of gout.
