Hello dear readers
Welcome to another blog. Before starting the blog about popcorn, tell if you know why do the popcorns pop?
Each grain of popcorn has a tiny droplet of water inside it, surrounded by a hard shell which is called hull. As the popcorn is heated, the water turns into steam. Due to this, pressure is built inside the grain. As the pressure increases, grain explodes with a pop sound giving us a fluffy new piece of popcorn.
Popcorn is a healthy and yummy snack. I think we all have tried the classic salted popcorn and as it is the time for trying something new so I am going to share two yummy popcorn flavours which you can easily make at home and enjoy. One recipe is chocolate popcorn and the other one is chesse popcorn.
Chocolate popcorn- This one sounds like an epic combination, isn't it? All you need is-
Popcorn- 1 cup
Dark chocolate- ½ cup
White chocolate- ½ cup
Method to make- First of all, melt dark chocolate and white chocolate separately on a double boiler. When it gets melted, let it get cool for a while and then spread it on the popcorn and mix it well so that popcorns get coated with chocolate. Keep it for ten minutes. Now sprinkle some chocolate powder. Garnish it with chocolate and serve.
Chesse popcorn-
Butter Popcorn
Processed chesse- 100 grams
Bread crumbs- as required
Turmeric powder- ¼ teaspoon
Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 teaspoon
Salt- ½ teaspoon
Method to make- Take a microwave safe place and spread a very thin layer of breadcrumbs. Grate the chesse and spread it evenly over the breadcrumb layer. Microwave it for about six minutes on fifty percent power or till the time chesse starts to get colour. Remove the baked chesse carefully and allow it get cool down for sometime. Now take this baked chesse disc and break it into small pieces. Now take a grinding jar and transfer these chesse pieces and little breadcrumbs into this jar. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Grind them together to make a fine powder. Our homemade chesse powder is ready. Store it in airtight container and keep it in refrigerator, it remains good for about two weeks.
Chesse powder is ready. What are you waiting for? Sprinkle it over your popcorn, mix it well and enjoy.
