1. Not keeping the face of the Chief Minister
Earlier, the BJP had clashed in Delhi after the Lok Sabha polls for the same reason. This is also a reason in West Bengal. The BJP could not find an alternative face for Mamata Banerjee.
2. Introducing excess unwanted
The general public did not like the idea of ββjoining in bjp party with a lot of leaders and activists from the tmc and other parties before the vote.
3. Not being able to focus on issues
The ruling party could be attacked on multiple issues like Saroda, Naroda, Katmani, corruption etc. like before
the Lok Sabha election. But the BJP had joined more than one leader who involved in all these corruptions. As a result, it could no longer issue them while campaigning with them on stage.
4. Trying to push the culture of other states to West Bengal
'Joy Sriram' sounded like a roar.
These were not acceptable to the common people.
5. Personal slander
Political attack is all right. But several leaders, even those in the ruling party who had joined the BJP just two months before the polls, have personally attacked Mamata in protest. To mean that Mamata(chief minister of Bengal) is a Muslim flatterer ,they called her 'Begum'. No ordinary man took it well.
6. Attempts at communal polarization
Many say 'we(Hindus) are70%,
They are thirty percent. That means 30 percent to Muslims. In other words, they are trying to run such a campaign that they can win without the Muslim vote. The common man did not take the game of Hindu-Muslim sharing well. Minority votes were gathered.
Virtually excluding Muslims, comparing them to militant groups, promising to launch NRC, terrorizing the minority community. They voted for Mamata as an alternative.
7. Becoming overly trustworthy
Many students do very well in the test exam. But in the final exam, they can't increase the number more than the test. Even decreases in many cases. There may be several reasons for this. One of the reasons is to become overconfident. The same has happened in the case of BJP. After getting some seats in the Lok Sabha, they assumed that in the Legislative Assembly they are coming to power.
Their movement was confined to the party workers. They didn't try to win people's minds.
8. Situation of the whole country
Rising prices of commodities including petrol-diesel, agricultural bills, NRC, failure of central government to control the situation in Corona, stagnation in GDP, no one is unaware with the help of media. So these have had a significant impact.
9. The alliance of the Left Congress is weak
At one time the main enemy of the CPM was the Congress. Now most of the people have not accepted the alliance between Cpm and Congress. Even if it was right. But Abbas Siddiqui, the founder of the newly formed Indian Secular Front. He made controversial remarks more than one time before. The Left also included him in the alliance. People did not dare to choose them as an alternative to the ruling party. On the contrary, it has chosen Mamata to stop the BJP.
10. Multiple rojects of Mamata Banerjee
Kanyashree, Rupashree, Sabuj Sathy were successful project of Mamata. Various promises such as giving free vaccines, launching Lakshi Bhandar project, people have voted for Mamata. Although the BJP's election manifesto had multiple projects, but it was not credible to the people. Because other BJP-ruled states do not have those facilities. The girls were told to free bus and train fares. People have seen these as an attempt to seize power of bjp.
