Thought of sharing a simple story which I read somewhere sometime back and it had its own meaning of facing life in a positive manner. Let me share the inspiring simple story but yet so powerful.

Here you go..

There once was a old farmer who used to get around miles to fetch water, as this was a time there weren’t any transportation facilities available in that village, he had to carry water on his own, all he could afford was fetch 2 buckets full of water and carry himself all the way to his place. He used to do this every morning and evening.

While do so, it was noted that one of the water bucket had a slight damage and as a result of this, water started to spill all over the way, despite knowing this the farmer continued doing this for so many days as he neither can afford to buy a new bucket nor can throw the damaged bucket. He was happy he could at least use some water remain in the bucket in spite of water spillage.

This was happening for so many days and since the villager doesn’t bother to fix or address the issue, the damage water bucket was so curious and started talking to the farmer one fine day.

“I have been noting you that you were neither bothered to fix the leakage nor worried about the water spillage throughout the way..are you mad ?? I have been worrying so many days about this and feeling sad that I cannot carry so much water like the other bucket does..”

The farmer was shocked to realise the bucket talking, calmed himself down and started answering..

“Well, while you were so disconcerted and hurt to undergo the damage in you, you were thinking so much so that you compare yourself with the other bucket all the time..there were never a moment you tried to think outside and look around..I have to show you something..come with me..”

The farmer then showed him the way he used to walk all the way from him home to the place he fetch water, there were so many new plants on the way which were never been there before and there were flowers blossoming nice and bright in some of the plants. Farmer then said to the bucket.

“You were doing a great job of watering all the plants unknowingly all these while, you have given life to so many of your friends on the way unknowingly, but the other bucket did not do it, but serving only my purpose”

The bucket after hearing this and seeing around felt touched and heartened finally..

Sometime what we think as damaged/rejected might have its own magic..

‘Well cannot preserve water if is not hollow..’

‘Pure gold cannot create ornaments.’
