-What is LGBTQ?

LGBTQ stands for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer.

In today's generation there is no gender for a person. We have the right to decide whatever gender we would like to be or not. Now many people may not accept it. It's ok that's your opinion. But, sometimes people take their opinion too far…..

-Why do people dislike LGBTQ community?

Here are some of the many reasons why-

. They may not have proper knowledge about it.

. Cultural difference is also a big reason as some people think that it is against their culture. Most of the time this reason comes from lack of knowledge also. For example- some hindus may not accept LGBTQ community because of cultural acceptance. This is because they don't know their cultural history properly.

.Arthashastra, manusmriti point to homosexuality in ancient times .Ramayana and Mahabharata also refer to instances of homosexuality

. One of the most important and main problem of the society EGO. Some people actually don't accept other LGBT people because it doesn't satisfy their ego.

First two problems can actually be solved through proper education and knowledge but third problem is really difficult to be solved. This society has created some gender norms and breaking these gender norms means tarnishing their ego.

Some people support LGBTQ and some don't this is an opinion this may differ from person to person. Difference in opinion is not a big deal your opinion may differ from your best friend that doesn't mean you should force your opinion on him or her. There is a huge difference between opinion and a fixed mindset. An opinion can change but a mind set doesn't.

Violence against LGBTQ community exist because of this mindset this mindset is not created, it is developed through time. In Indian society it is part of  upbringing and the environment in which you are bought up. Since childhood we see transgender coming to our house when a child is born or during a marriage, asking for money or ‘badhai’ we are taught that they are also beggars but what they don't tell us is that their situation is way different from beggars . Times are much better now but when I was a kid my father told me that they have to do this work because of less job opportunities. They have to do this work because of less respect they are given by the society. I thank my parents for bringing me up in such a way that I was able to understand these things better when I grow up, I thank them for not having a small mentality.

Still sometimes nowadays LGBTQ community are outcasted by the society but now people with such small mentality I looked down upon. Still violence against LGBTQ community exist. People are murdered, rape ,assaulted all over the world because of this hate.

Having an opinion means having a thought and keeping it to oneself. It never gives you any right to disturb other persons lifestyle. Laws for LGBTQ community still needs to be more strict. In Indian constitution only one gender is given the most attention and everyone knows it's the male gender. Women and LGBTQ community are still fighting for their rights why???

Because misogyny and gender discrimination still exist 

People live your lives peacefully and let others live their life. It's not a topic for debate everyone has a rights to live their life the way they want to.
