What comes into your mind when you think of Amusement Parks? The majority of you people were thinking the term "ENJOYMENT" and you felt excited. Although there are many rides in Amusement Parks, the Roller Coaster wins our heart. People prefer to ride in Roller Coasters among all other ride. Majority of American people prefer to Roller Coasters rather than many other attractions in Amusement Parks. Have you ever wondered why people prefer to ride on it although it's scary?

WHY?

Some people, especially extroverts looking for excitement, seem to prefer rollercoasters because they get to feel the physical symptoms of dread while understanding, at least to some extent, that they are safe (barring rare incidents). This appreciation of feelings that are typically viewed negatively is referred to by psychologists as "benign masochism," and it appears to be an exclusively human phenomena. These feelings, in the case of rollercoasters, are fear-related, but other instances of benign masochism include the appreciation of depressing and spooky films, repulsive jokes and brutally hot chillies. While some people find pleasure in extreme sports, where danger and terror are very genuine, this may not be the case for everyone.

Apart from people choosing rollercoasters, what's the history behind it? Have you ever thought why the scary ride discovered? Eager to know, then take a look at the below content.

Roller coasters were developed to divert Americans from sin.

Although the foundation for the roller coaster's creation was built in Europe, the ride as we know it today emerged in America. La Marcus Thompson built a switchback train at Coney Island in 1884, earning him the title of "father of the roller coaster" in many circles. He undoubtedly constructed Coney's Switchback Railway, but that doesn't mean he created it or built it first; rather, it just means he was the best at advancing and promoting it. LaMarcus Thompson, a hosiery salesman in the 1880s, detested the fact that Americans were drawn to hedonistic establishments like saloons and brothels. So he set out to clean up Coney Island in New York, one of the most immoral locations he could imagine. To divert New Yorkers from seedier diversions, he constructed the nation's first roller coaster there.

Atlast the useful thing we have to learn from HAIR-RAISING Roller Coasters which means SCARY  as well as EXCITING are, Although it has its ups and downs, you can either enjoy the journey or scream.

Life is like a roller coaster. Although it has its ups and downs, you can either enjoy the journey or scream.
