Hey beautiful people. How are you all doing? I wish loads of health, wealth & evergreen relationships for you all. I am Vibhu & in today's post I am going to share an intresting knowledge about the beginning of drinking coffee. Yes, you read it correct.

I mean most of us love coffee a lot. It's smell, aroma, texture & colour is soo satisfying and soothing that we cannot ignore it. So why not dig up the history of it. So your search ends here.

Do read this post completely & give your feedback, opinion & thoughts over this. It would really motivate me. Now, let's start the post.

Coffee - The Introduction :

Coffee as we all know is a brownish reddish coloured bean shaped or powdered drinking beverage that is used for the purpose of developing freshness in us. There are a big number of people around the globe who consumes coffee at a large scale as they believe that a cup of coffee separates the fatigue & tiredness out of their body like a “Magic-Drink”.

A chemical called “Caffeine” is present in coffee beans which is responsible for removing fatigue, tiredness and sleep. Hence called “Magic Drink” in so many parts of world.

Coffee - The Beginning :

Did you know when the culture of drinking coffee started? It all started with an interesting story which you must know :

Once there lived a Shepherd in Arabia, who once noticed that some of his sheeps started dancing & running like a young child after eating some special kind of “reddish-fruits”, It happened for many times which was astonishing for him. So he himself decided to eat that fruit. After consuming it he also felt relaxed and energetic. He took those to an Abbot (monk) and asked him to test it. When he did he felt the same & after that he served it to other monks of the Monestary after dissolving it in water. The fruit was of “Coffee” what we all know today.

Well talking about the authenticity of this story I would say that it is just a folk tale passing from generation to generation, not a written or valid document. But it is also true that the people of Arabia has been consuming coffee since ancient time. Though their method of taking coffee may differ from how we consume it today.

Coffee in England :

After Arabia, It was England where the use or consumption of Coffee started in early 17th century & also World's First Coffee House was opened in Oxford in year 1650. And from here the Coffee and its culture spreaded over to the other places of the world.

Know More about Coffee :

  • Coffee is obtained from the seeds of an evergreen plant.
  • Height of its plant never exceeds more than 2 meters.
  • At the age of 4-5 years of this plant, it flowers first time.
  • The fruit which it develops is initially of green colour but later on become red after 7-8 Months.
  • The seeds are then taken out and roasted, crushed & prepared as powder of coffee for market.

Coffee - General Knowledge :

  1. Some people take dark coffee while some mix it with milk.
  2. There is also cold coffee which is popular in many countries.
  3. One cup coffee contains 120 mg caffeine.
