Aranmanai 4 revolves around a big home in the middle of a forest, a song honoring the Gods, a number of comedic characters, a godman, a ghost, gorgeous women, poojas, and Sundar C himself, who arrives to save the day. The film centers on Selvi (Tamannaah Bhatia) and her husband (Santhosh Prathap), who live with their two children in a spacious home in the forest. They appear to be leading a contented life until her spouse abruptly attempts to murder her and the children for no apparent cause. The couple does not survive this horrific attack, but the children do, and police inform Selvi's brother, lawyer Saravanan (Sundar C), about it. Saravanan along with his maternal grandmother
Numerous strange deaths begin to occur while Saravanan and the police investigate the entire tragedy. Additionally, a ghost begins to appear in their home. Yogi Babu's character Maestry and VTV Ganesh's character Carpenter were assisting Selvi's husband at work, and they also started assisting Saravanan with his investigation. Since he has been given the house, we now also have Dr. Maya's (Raashi Khanna) grandfather (Delhi Ganesh) residing there. The house will be sold so Maya can construct a hospital and carry out charitable work.A godman who appears to know more about this ghost is found by Saravanan during his inquiry, and when the police apprehend him, he reveals there is another demonic presence as well. Why is Selvi's house haunted by a ghost? What is this other malevolent entity? How can they end this presence and stop the deaths that are occurring? Does Saravanan discover the truth about what actually transpired with Selvi and her husband, and how does he manage to protect his family?
Along with the cast members already listed, director Sundar C has made sure to include additional actors to this franchise. Among them are directors KS Ravikumar, Rajendran, Singampuli, Vichu Vishwanath, and V Jayaprakash. As a result, we have at least four comedians to make us laugh, and Raashi Khanna adds a dash of elegance. Since there are so many people in the cast, many of them simply come and go (which is to be anticipated), and none really jumps out because we have seen them all in similar roles in prior movies. The protagonist of the tale, Tamannaah Bhatia, does a fantastic job portraying an emotional mother, while Raashi Khanna does a great job as Maya. However, Khushbu—who is wed to Sundar C—and Simran have a unique relationship.
The audience for Sundar C's Aranmanai series is one that doesn't care too much about logic; it's one that enjoys jump scares, humorous dialogue, cast antics, fight scenes, religious themes, upbeat music, and a satisfying conclusion that sees the evil defeated and everyone returns to their happy family. Since this is also the central theme in Aranmanai 4, the director appears to have mastered the idea after four editions. If you walk into Aranmanai 4 with no expectations, you won't leave the movie utterly delighted, but you also won't leave feeling let down.
