Hey, candlemonk family. Welcome or welcome back to my daily blogs my dear bloggers. I hope you all are enjoying my blogs about navratri, as it is one of my favourite weeks. I hope you all are doing great and having fun.
As i already wrote about the first, 2nd nd third day of navratri that maa shailapurtri is worshipped on the first day, Maa bhramacharini is worshipped on the second day followed with Maa chandraghanta on the third day. as i told about the story of three avatars of Maa in my previous blogs So according to the avatar of Maa durga's Maa Kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day of navratri. She is also referred to Smiling goddess, Maa kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day.
This day signifies anger, passion and auspiciousness. she referred as the creator of the world. the first word of her name Ku which means little. The next word ushma which means energy or warmth, anda means egg which means she is the creator of this little cosmic egg that we call our Universe.
Maa kushmanda story begins when there was nothing on this universe. there was no sign of light or dark. suddenly the light appeared and it take a clear shape and size, it took the form of a lady. this lady was the first being of the universe she was Maa kushmanda.
It was believed that Maa kushmanda was able to create the world with her smile. she created the sun, moon, the planets and the galaxies. she is believed as the source of energy of the whole universe. she provides the life to every living being of the universe and also known as Shakti.
Maa kushmanda also created the three divine goddess, who were also the first being of the Universe. these were Mahalakshmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. Later the body of Mahakali give a birth to Male and Female. the male was named shiva and the female was named saraswati. similarly Mahalakshmi also give a birth to male and female. the male was named bramha and female was named lakshmi. Mahasaraswati also gave a birth the male was named vishnu and the female was named shakti. Later Maa kushmanda absorbed the three divine goddess in herself and then entered shakti as a powerful and unending energy.
So Maa kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day and she is considered as the Shakti and gives the power, strength and wisdom to her devotees.
This was the story of fouth day i hope you all liked it….thank you…😇
