Hey my dear bloggers, welcome to my daily blogs. As you all know today is the Eighth day of navratri and it is celebrated as Durga Ashtmi. Maagauri is worshipped on the eighth day of navratri. her name was Mahagauri because her color was so fair or white. Mahagauri means extremely white. she is worshipped to get loyality in relation and keep a bond for lifetime.
The story of Maa gauri is very interesting and seems to be enjoying. After killing all the demons as kaalratri, Maa parvati skin was become so dark and mahadev shiva teases her on her skin color by saying her Kaali. then she talked with bhrama and asked him to help her, then he told her that she should take bath in Mansarovar river in himalayas. she took a bath in Mansarovar river to regain her fair skin. As she baths in that river, her dark skin seperated and she has becomes fair or extremely white. Parvati regains her beauty and white complexion, she came to be known as Mahagauri.
The goddess Mahagauri has four arms and she carries a damru in her one hand. she rides on a white bull to be nine years old.
