### The Story of Ghost Spider-Man

In an alternate universe, the familiar city of New York was plagued not only by its usual array of supervillains but also by supernatural threats. #### The Transformation

It all began during a fierce battle with the notorious Green Goblin. Desperate to defeat Spider-Man once and for all, the Green Goblin resorted to using a cursed artifact he had obtained from an ancient occultist. The artifact was said to trap the souls of its victims, turning them into tormented spirits. During the climactic fight atop the Oscorp building, the Goblin activated the artifact, hoping to imprison Spider-Man’s soul forever.

In a heroic effort to save the city, Peter managed to thwart the Green Goblin's plans, but not without a cost. The artifact exploded, releasing its dark energy. This energy engulfed Peter, and he felt his very essence being pulled apart. The explosion sent the Green Goblin plummeting to his demise, but for Peter, it was just the beginning.
