“An addiction to distraction is the end of your creative production”

Hi, this is akhilesh with a new topic, i hope readers will like it and this is my personal story, what I did when I got distracted.

In the beginning of lockdown days where I was in the end of my software engineering where I had only 3 weeks of classes left to be done. So once the classes ended with exams I was totally free to do whatever I wanted to but there is a popular distraction named online or multiplayer games so as the name suggests I got distracted to it. Where my 2 months ended up playing them with no work progess. One day I sat alone and thought that playing games will not make me money and there was total lockdown, so started digging the internet and found many useful online courses and applied them. But still the addiction towards game was on. So i decided to keep myself busy the whole day.

The biggest weapon of distraction according to me is keeping yourself busy in productive works.

I used to keep myself motivated with self rewards. How it worked, like I used to set goals for myself and I tried to complete that goals within time and used to reward myself like I used to kept saying that if I'll do this finished I'll have a badam shake in the evening.

Its very important to diagnose the  problem at a early stage the early the diagnosis the early the treatment with less pain

So I started to keep myself busy, instead of playing games I used to learn something that suites me like coding language for the and it can be something else for other so search in you what you like to do instead of wasting time. Luckily I learned to cook, did gardening, learned new coding languages and improved my vocab.

Its better not to waste your time instead of hanging out and sleeping on the bed do some productive work that will help you in upcoming years.

Tips to manage distraction -

  1. Set a smaller goal.
  2. Practice meditation.
  3. Use visual reminds.
  4. Go offline.
  5. Give yourself rewards.
  6. Mute notifications.
  7. Keep your mind calm.

This is all guys hope you like it.

Keep sharing and liking this keeps me motivated ro come up with new ideas and with new blogs.

Thank you.
