The topic was not a publicity stunt at all. All I wanted to convey that your brain always keep talking to you. I guess many of you know this, but do you what? I am going to write down about a recent incident after which I became more consious of this.
Earlier:
Alarm ringsssssssss
ME: Oh its 7am..
BRAIN: Yea it is isnt a bit early?
You can snooze off now and take off for a for a littleee while.
We know where that “ littleeee” eventually ends up…
Now:
Alarm ringsssssssss
ME: Oh its 7am..
-I wake up immediately.Go to the washroom. Get the necessary things done. Go back to my room.
-The brain knows that this guy has changed and regularly wakes up immediatley . Let's try a different strategy…
BRAIN : Bro, you have been working late nights and yesterday you worked till 3am. You know you need 7 hours of proper sleep or else your day will not be productive.
-Me thinks, yeaa correct I need my day to be productive. I guess I can sleep for another hour and start afresh.
The brain smiles…
Well I made up the ending at bit spicy.
But the brain is always on our side. Yes! the only reason why it stops us from doing something beyond our comfort zone is because it wants to protect us. It wants us to do those activities which burns less energy not only physically but mentally too.
You mostly love doing things where you feel its dam easy and you can keep doing it over and over without any difficulties. But as soon as you want to introduce a new activity in your routine, your brains starts fighting back.
So you being sensible you take it slow and easy.
As I usually wake up satisfied with my sleep at 9am. But for a few days I have started waking up at 8am. So, I am taking it one hour at a time so that one day I can start waking up at 6am.
And this so happens because you start building a habit. Slowly but continously. Your brains starts getting comfortable and the next time you wake up, you wake up for good at 6am without any second thoughts.
We converse a lot with our brain.. lets make it productive..
Thank you for your time.. I hope you found it entertaining… Cheers.
