Stealing Away "Unique Factor" From This Planet

If I am to ask you what you want to wear today for a party, you’ll choose something celebrities wore for their recent parties (at least some of you will, in general). If someone is getting married, especially girls, they start planning their marriage according to the videos they have seen of some celebrities’ marriage, they want same lehngas; they want to dance on the same song as other rich brides have done. If you ask a child about his/her dreams of future, they will generally choose to be a doctor, engineer, moreover a pilot. And now this trend has improved a little, now they want to be a cricketer, dancer or a singer. It’s all a trend. I sometimes feel like we are living someone else’s life. It’s like we are copying them. Even if you’ll see an owner of a new house planning to do some furnishing, he will plan it according to his neighbor’s furniture or some relative’s house furniture. A boy asks his father to get him new pair of neon shoes for his football practice and when his father asks what’s wrong with the recent one, the answer is always same that its new trendy shoes and mine are old fashioned. Everyone using social media have an urge of posting something similar to their fellow social media friends. Posting everyone’s birthday with the same birthday songs, posts for mother’s day, father’s day. It’s like all of your love for them comes out on that very specific day.

God has made us all different from each other so why are we trying to be like each other and why are we trying to copy each other. I am really concerned about the future generation. If you have seen some advertisement of online coding classes, you’ll know that they are trying to convince people that at smaller age your child’s creativity level is at peak so teach them coding and let them create a software but if everyone on this planet will become a software engineer, doctor, dancer, singer, cricketer, and all those trendy things then I am worried of what we will eat, who will grow new type and nutrition infused food, who will prepare those beautiful pots molded out of clay and ceramic, who will teach us yoga, who will create new designs for wall paint, who will create new design of homes, who will invent new dishes, who will create new artistic things from wood…. Who will come up and become a farmer, chef, carpenter, mason or potter…..

So, trend is overrated. Please follow your heart and choose your own path don’t copy others. By copying others you’ll definitely earn lots of money and you might get fame but what about your heart, what about its happiness and a purpose on this planet.
